Galatians 3:26 - 28 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Spring is a time of renewal for the body and spirit. In the blossoming of the flowers is a  promise of things to come. As the leaves come in to color, and the blossoms spring anew, life takes on a special meaning. Just as God's promise of a new life in Jesus, so are the changing of the season's a promise that our lives can be born again. A fresh world, a fresh start. All the old things are cast off.
Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, we are born again as new creatures. Wholly separate and distinct, yet part of a greater world. A world where all of us can call each other brother and sister. A world that is not beset by evil but nurtured by love. Where we can rejoice, every day, for the grace of God that has lifted the dark and desolate winter from our hearts.
This is a world that everyone, of every race, creed or color, can have today, right now. It is not some fairy tale or some faraway land. It is a place where all are welcome and none are ever turned away. There is only one price that ever needs to be paid for unlimited, lifetime admission. The great news is that Jesus has already paid it all for you. When you accept His gift born out of love, it will be as a gentle spring shower coming down from the heavens to refresh your soul.

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body."
Jesus life gave us spiritual death because it showed us that we cannot earn our way in to heaven. His death gave us spiritual and eternal life because He sacrificed Himself for our iniquities so that we may spend eternity up in heaven.
Romans 8:38 "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow--not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love."
There is no power in heaven or on earth that is greater than God's love. Every day I surround myself in a fortress built entirely on the love that God has shown for us. No weapon, no insult, no behavior, no act of man or demon has the power to breach it's defenses. Love deflects satan's arrows, it absorbs every unkind word or act that this world can throw at us. It lifts us above the river of human despair and gently guides our way in to His loving embrace. The world will scorn us just as it did Jesus. Just as He returned absolute love for their hatred, so must we be willing to become servants to those who hate us so that they may see God's love in us. There is no greater testimony that we can give.
Galatians 2:21" I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Not one action of our own will gain us entry in to heaven. Then why do so many Christians seem obsessed with flaunting their works and their standing in the church as if they actually could get in to heaven by their deeds? Matthew 23:12 "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."
We can only be and do what we are. I can honestly say that I am not the best at anything I do. Does it matter? No. For me, as long as I do the best I can do, it is enough. God doesn't judge you by what you could be, he judges you for what you are. Don't try and hold yourself to a higher expectation than God does. Not only is it futile, it leads to despair.
